The Luwingu Town Council hosted Form 1 learners from Luwingu Day Secondary School on 10th February 2026, for an educational visit to the local authority, to gain a better understanding of municipal operations and services.
The pupils, who were on a civic education tour, were received by Chief Administration Officer, Ms Charity Chishimba, on behalf of the Acting Council Secretary, M. Kondwani Sakala.
During the visit, the Council’s Public Relations Officer oriented the pupils on the council mandate, leadership roles and responsibilities within the local government system.
The local authority wishes to expresses sincere gratitude to Luwingu Day Secondary School teacher, Mr. Stephan Mutale, for facilitating this important learning opportunity.
Recognizing that the pupils are our future leaders, we remain hopeful that such engagements will contribute to a well informed and responsible citizenry in Luwingu.
