Luwingu District Chairperson His Worship Rodericks Mulenga has cautioned the 2025 CDF sponsored students against dropping out of school .
Mr. Mulenga said government was spending colossal sums of money in sponsoring young people to acquire various trade skills, through CDF and that it was important for the candidates to take the sponsorship seriously.
The Council Chairperson further tipped the students that the council through the CDF monitoring team consisting of Auditors, will soon launch a routine monitoring program of students performance and conduct head accounts to ensure value for money.
The Council Chairperson was speaking on Wednesday morning when addressing the shortlisted candidates under the 2025 Skills Development Bursary sponsorship program at the President’s Park .
His Worship Mr. Mulenga further called on stakeholders and other government wings in the District, to prioritize the employment of CDF skills graduates during the recruitment process .
The meeting was spearheaded by Acting Council Secretary,Lizzy Musonda and Luwingu Council Socio-Economic Planner Anet Nyamukandeka. Also in attendance, was National Assembly Professional Assistant , Festus Musonda and Luwingu Youth Resource Centre Manager, Joshua Sinyangwe.
The meeting was organized with the purpose of reallocating shortlisted candidates to reputable and standardized trade schools as opposed to low quality schools.
