49 CDF LOAN BENEFICIARIES IN FINANCIAL LITERACY TRAINING

The Luwingu Town Council has successfully trained 49 small-scale Business entrepreneurs’ in Financial Literacy.
The beneficiaries were selected under the 2024 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Loan Empowerment Programme.
Natsave Bank Manager for Luwingu Branch Mr. Jameson Mwansa was a facilitator for the training which was held at the Skills Development Centre . The training was organized by the Planning Department at the Council working in collaboration with the Constituency Development Fund Committee (CDFC).
Mr. Mwansa urged the beneficiaries to be cognizant of the fact that the CDF empowerment fund was a revolving fund that needed to be repaid . According to the loan contract, beneficiaries are required to start making repayments within 60 days.
The Training covered various essential topics, including Customer Care Service Skills, Book Keeping, the important of saving business money in the Bank as well as the consequences of defaulting on CDF loans.
We wish to urge the CDF loan beneficiaries to use the empowerment fund responsibly and for the intended purpose .We hope to see beneficiaries invest the money into their various business plans and be able to create employment to the young people in the District. Further more, we wish to remind all the CDF loan beneficiaries that the Council will not relent to take legal action against defaulters.
