Luwingu District , established in 1906, is one of the oldest districts in the Northern Province of Zambia. It lies approximately , 1000 km from Lusaka, the capital city, and shares boundaries with Kasama , Lunte, Kawambwa , Lupososhi, and Chilubi districts .
